GucalLedger · From documents to reviewed data
My development work to reduce repetitive data entry in accounting and ERP workflows.
The business need
Repeatedly entering dates, amounts and other document details can take time. Automatic transfer can also multiply a wrong entry, so reviewing extracted data is central to the workflow.
My area of work
In GucalLedger and my ERP work, I focus on organizing document and operational data. The aim is to develop workflows that reduce repetitive entry while keeping the user in control.
Proposed pilot workflow
This workflow illustrates a technical approach. It is not a recording of a working product or a completed customer implementation.
Select a limited set of authorized or anonymized documents and define the required fields.
Extract dates, document numbers or amounts. Flag unreadable fields rather than guessing them.
Compare the original document and extracted data side by side. Correct missing fields and inconsistencies.
Transfer only reviewed data to an agreed target format. Posting an accounting entry requires separate approval.
How should the pilot be evaluated?
- Measure accuracy and completeness for each field.
- Compare review and correction time per document with manual processing.
- Test different layouts, duplicate documents and unreadable examples.
Limits and human review
- This page does not promise a live integration with specific accounting software or legal certification.
- Tax interpretation and final accounting entries remain under the responsible specialist’s control.
Evidence and current status
No actual product recording or verified performance measurement is published on this page. Business-specific results can only be shared after an authorized pilot and measurement.
